Laurie Hearley

RN B.Nursing, RM Grad DipMid

Laurie has been a Registered Nurse since 2002 working in adult and paediatric nursing throughout Brisbane.  She completed her Graduate Diploma in Midwifery in 2007 and has worked as a Registered Midwife in the Mater Mothers’ Birth Suite since then.

Whilst working with women with high and low risk pregnancies Laurie has an understanding of the importance that communication plays in birth and valuing that each birth experience is different to the next.  She strongly believes in supporting women’s choices in labour and birth and delivering education for a woman to make an informed choice.   Laurie loves the moment a baby enters the world and witnessing the creation of a family.

Laurie’s main portfolio at Eve Health is running the Education classes (Antenatal and Caesarean section classes) in a relaxed and fun environment.  Laurie is passionate about normalising the birth experience and helping parents create realisitic expectations for themselves throughout pregnancy and when they become parents.  Laurie also runs the popular Mothers group that is run weekly by Eve Health.  This extension of care is where Laurie is able to provide postnatal support to parents with feeding, routines and general newborn concerns. Laurie has three children under 7 so she understands that parenting can have some ups and downs.

Laurie consults at our Boundary Court rooms on Level 1.
