RN B.Nursing, RM PostGradDip Mid, MMid, Cert IV Bereavement Support (ACGB)

Paula commenced her healthcare career as a Registered Nurse working in operating theatre and recovery in a large tertiary hospital in Melbourne. She became a Midwife in 2002 and hasn’t looked back since! Paula has experience caring for both low-risk and high-risk women and families in both the public and private maternity sectors. She is a Childbirth & Parenting Educators of Australia (CAPEA) certified childbirth educator, and a perinatal loss educator.

Paula completed a Masters of Midwifery in 2014 from Deakin University, and is a Sessional Academic at ACU Banyo Campus and University Sunshine Coast. Although passionate about all aspects of maternity care, Paula has a strong background and interest in perinatal loss support and education, prompted originally by her own experience.

As a mother to three children ranging in age from 5-15 years, Paula understands the ups and downs, excitement and unknowns of pregnancy and parenthood. Paula provides a calm, positive and reassuring presence, and is a strong advocate for evidence-based care, encouraging women and their partners to make informed choices about their care during pregnancy, birth and beyond. She will be facilitating group antenatal education classes, as well as providing one-on-one education as required. She loves working in a collaborative professional environment such as Eve Health, and is happy to answer any questions you may have.

Paula consults at our Boundary Court rooms on Level 1.
