As an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Kate Strawson is passionate about empowering women to understand their bodies and make decisions that best reflect each woman, their family and lifestyle. She values the importance of holistic and collaborative care through a multidisciplinary team approach.
At Eve Health, Kate brings her experience in minimally invasive surgery, including removal of endometriosis and laparoscopic hysterectomies. She is confident in managing all facets of a woman’s life, spanning from adolescents, through child-bearing years and into menopause. Kate provides preconception care, consultations for abnormal pap smears and colposcopy, and has a special interest in adolescent gynaecology and the management of pelvic pain.
As an obstetrician, she is proactive in promoting and supporting a woman-centred pregnancy and birth and has confidence and experience in managing higher risk pregnancies gained from extensive training at tertiary centres, meaning she is capable of providing maternity care for VBAC deliveries, multiple pregnancies, preterm birth and pregnancies complicated by medical comorbidities requiring multidisciplinary care.
Navigating the journey that is pregnancy and parenthood is truly exciting, but can also be a time of uncertainty for many mothers and their partners. Kate believes that by supporting holistic, collaborative and evidence-based care this will help to ease some of these uncertainties, and allow you to relish in the anticipation and excitement of meeting your new little person. Kate loves nothing more than newborn snuggles and looks forward to being a very small part of your parenthood journey.
