Our obstetricians place great importance on being there to care and support you through your pregnancy, labour and delivery. We are very proud to share that 94% of women have their chosen Eve Health obstetrician at their baby’s birth*.  On the rare occasion that your obstetrician is unable to be there for your birth, you can rest assured that another Eve Health obstetrician, who knows and understands your personal case, will be there to care for you with the same skill and expertise you can expect from all Eve obstetricians.

During your stay at Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane, you are guaranteed accommodation in a private room with private en-suite, a day bed for your partner and an in-room entertainment system with access to internet. Our award-winning room service delivers freshly prepared, nutritious meals specifically designed by Mater chefs and dietitians, direct to your bedside.  You and your family will also have round-the-clock access to the expertise and support offered by their caring team who work closely with your obstetrician to deliver compassionate, expert care for you and your baby in preparation for going home.

The Caring Continues

Mater Mothers have introduced the “The Caring Continues” home care options, designed to support mums and families who choose to go home sooner than expected.

The Parenting Support Centre

Mater Mothers’ Parenting Support Centre offers early parenting support and guidance to mothers and babies up to six months after birth.

Birth Suite

Wesley Maternity has five spacious birthing suites that all include the following:

• Therapeutic comfort options including fit balls, bean bags and birth stools
• Flat screen television, telephone and Wi-Fi
• Access to kitchen facilities
• Multi functional birthing beds

Ensuring the safe care of you and your baby is our highest priority. You will have access to a number of professional support staff including midwives, your Eve obstetrician, paediatricians and anaesthetists. They are available around the clock to support you if required. A fully equipped operating theatre and intensive care unit are also nearby to deal with any unexpected complications.

Your labour and birth is a very special time and we encourage you to discuss any individual preferences with your obstetrician. Our experienced midwives are here to support you and your family during this time.
