Dr Matt Smith believes in the value of building lifelong relationships with his patients. His wide set of up-to-date skills, covering obstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility, allow him to provide the highest quality of personalised care to you and your family. He has a special interest in how endometriosis affects your life from pain to fertility.

Dr Smith will guide you through your health care journey with expertise, care, and a friendly demeanour. A father of four young children, Dr Smith is passionate about helping people to grow their families. His knowledge of up-to-the-minute medical research enables Dr Smith to provide cutting-edge services to suit your needs; whether that involves safely supporting natural choices in pregnancy, using advanced surgical techniques to decrease pain and recovery time, or using natural techniques to make your caesarean section a more special experience.

A senior lecturer in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Queensland, Dr Smith is committed to medical education and innovation. He is a RANZCOG Training Supervisor and the Lead Consultant for Education at RBWH.

Dr Smith delivers at both The Wesley Hospital and Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane.
